Palomar Abogados recovers for its client the integrity of 6,900€ that had been stolen due to a bank phishing

A Bankinter customer in Barcelona received a phone call from a cybercriminal using the technique called "spoofing", through which he pretended to be a Bankinter Customer Service employee.


The fraudster, under the pretext of solving certain security incidents of the customer, asked him for his security credentials, and after appropriating them, he made a purchase charged to his credit card for the amount of 6,900 euros.


The client went to Palomar Abogados. We activated a claim process, and by virtue of an out-of-court claim letter to Bankinter, in which we explained to the bank the reasons for its liability, BANKINTER finally reimbursed the affected party the 6,900 euros that had been stolen.


Attached you can see the notification from Bankinter, in which this entity agrees to return to our client the entire amount of the 6,900 euros
